Tue, 07 Dec 2010 09:45:43 +0000http://thess.gr/blog/?p=1869#comment-1478Το Φεστιβάλ έπρεπε να συμμαζευτεί οικονομικά ακόμη και αν δεν είχαν συμβεί όλα όσα συνέβησαν σε επίπεδο γενικότερης οικονομικής πολιτικής. Νομίζω ότι με τον κ.Εϊπίδη αυτό θα συνέβαινε ούτως ή άλλως γιατί είναι θέμα νοοτροπίας του καθενός, δεν υπήρχε περίπτωση να συνεχιστούν οι νεοπλουτισμοί της προηγούμενης διοίκησης, απλά τώρα επιβάλλεται και άνωθεν. Αν δε γινόταν αυτό, θα μπορούσε να σου πει κάποιος μια μέρα κλείνεις γιατί στοιχίζεις πολλά. Δε νομίζω δε ότι μεσομακροπρόθεσμα αυτό θα πλήξει την ανάπτυξη του Φεστιβάλ, το αντίθετο μάλιστα, απλά χρειάζεται λίγος χρόνος για να αναπτυχθεί στη βάση της ποιότητας και όχι της γκλαμουριάς. Θυμάμαι χαρακτηριστικά περσι έναν Ρουμάνο που γνώρισα να έχει ψιλοξενερώσει με τις ταινίες, αυτόν τον φέραμε στην πόλη με τη διαφήμιση του Φεστιβάλ αλλά για μια χρονιά μόνο, φέτος δε νομίζω να ξαναέρθει. Πιστοί στα Φεστιβάλ ακόμη και σε περίοδο οικονομικής κρίσης μένουν αυτοί που αγαπούν τον καλό κινηματογράφο, επομένως μόνο η ποιότητα μπορεί να σε διατηρήσει μακροπρόθεσμα.
Για να μη μακρηγορώ θεωρώ ότι ειδικά φέτος το στοίχημα ήταν κυρίως να γίνει το Φεστιβάλ κάτι για το οποίο εγώ αμφέβαλλα, το οποίο επετεύχθη αλλάζοντας ταυτόχρονα και το ύφος αυτού, που εμένα τουλάχιστον με βρίσκει απόλυτα σύμφωνο.
Για τις δυσλειτουργίες δεν έχω άποψη, οπότε δέχομαι ότι είναι όπως τα λες αλλά εντάξει μην υπερβάλλουμε κιόλας. Τις προάλλες ήμουν σε σεμινάριο ιδιωτικής εταιρείας 300€ κόστος για 2 ημέρες και δεν έγινε επειδή ξαφνικά έπεσε ο server. Ουδείς τέλειος.

Θεωρώ απλά ότι ανέλαβε κάτι για το οποίο επίσης δεν έχει λόγο. Στην γενικότερη λογική της κυβέρνησης και του υπουργείου όπου προσπαθούν να κόψουν λεφτά από παντού, το Φεστιβάλ έχει επικεντρωθεί στις ταινίες μη μπορώντας δώσει κάτι παραπάνω. Διαβάζοντας τον @asteris και μιλώντας μαζί του και με τον Zlatkogr έμαθα ότι υπήρξαν αρκετά προβλήματα τεχνικά, όπως προβολέας ο οποίο για 3 (τουλάχιστον) μέρες δε δούλευε σωστα, για υπότιτλους που δεν υπήρχαν, για το σύστημα κρατήσεων που είχε πέσει για 45 λεπτά κ.λ.π. Αυτό όμως δεν μπορώ να το καταλογίσω στον διευθυντή όσο στην έλλειψη οργάνωσης. Την Κυριακή π.χ. συζητούσαμε με τον Zlatkogr, στην συνάντηση των Bookcrossers ότι ενώ υπήρχαν μαγαζιά με την ένδειξη Festival Spot, όπως αυτό που είμασταν, κανένας δεν ήξερε τίποτα. Υποτίθεται ότι κάποια μαγαζιά, αλήθεια πως επιλέγονται, δίνουν καλύτερες τιμές στους θεατές του Φεστιβάλ, αλήθεια σε όλους ή στους κατόχους Cineκάρτας, αλλά πουθενά μέχρι την Κυριακή το απόγευμα δεν υπήρχε αυτή η πληροφορία. Την Δευτέρα ο Zlatkogr σε tweet του έγραψε ότι τελικά το newsletter της διοργάνωσης επιτέλους το έγραψε.
Αυτές είναι ανεπίτρεπτες παθογένειες για ένα οργανισμό που έκλεισε μισό αιώνα ζωής.
Στην συνέντευξη στον Ρέτζιο ο Εϊπίδης λέει :
“Αυτό που γνωρίζω είναι ότι ο θεσμός είχε χάσει το χαρακτήρα του και είχε αναλωθεί σε μια προβολή που δεν ταιριάζει καθόλου στο προφίλ της διοργάνωσης.”
Μόνο που δεν λέει τι ταιριάζει στο Φεστιβάλ. Είναι αλήθεια ότι ακούω τα καλύτερα για τις ταινίες, άλλωστε δεν είχα αμφιβολία με τον Εϊπίδη να τις διαλέγει. Άλλο όμως ένα φεστιβάλ ντοκιμαντέρ σε μια γνωιά της Ευρώπης και άλλο ένας θεσμός που θα ήθελες να χρησιμοποιήσεις για την προβολή της πόλης και ίσως και για την τουριστική ανάπτυξής της. Ξαναλέω ότι επίσης σε καμιά περίπτωση δεν πας στις υπερβολές της προηγούμενης διοίκησης, την οποία βέβαια σαν υπουργείο δεν την τιμώρησες αλλά τιμώρησες αφήνοντας απλήρωτους εργαζόμενους και προμηθευτές.

Επειδή έχω διαβάσει πολλές από τις δηλώσεις του αυτό που κατάλαβα είναι ότι η αλλαγή επικεντρώνεται σε 2 τομείς. Στο ύφος των ταινιών (παραμερίζονται οι πιο “εμπορικές” και ενισχύεται ο εναλλακτικός κινηματογράφος) και στον περιορισμό των αλόγιστων δαπανών. Δε βρίσκω κάτι αρνητικό εφόσον αποδειχτούν στην πράξη. Ούτε φυσικά ευθύνεται τόσο για τα χρέη της προηγούμενης διοίκησης (τα οποία δηλώνει ότι θα βρεθεί τρόπος να αποπληρωθούν σε βάθος χρόνου), όσο και για τη μείωση του τζίρου των επιχειρήσεων που συνεργάζονται με το Φεστιβάλ. Δυστυχώς η μέχρι πρότινος κατάσταση δεν ήταν βιώσιμη.
Τέλος, η επιτυχία μιας καλλιτεχνικής διοργάνωσης δεν εξαρτάται από τα χρήματα που θα ξοδέψεις αλλά από το προϊόν που θα προσφέρεις.
Με παρόμοια λογική, το φεστιβάλ Ντοκιμαντέρ του οποίου επίσης προϊσταται ο κ.Εϊπίδης, συγκαταλέγεται στα καλύτερα της Ευρώπης με μοναδικό όπλο την ποιότητα.
