Λοιπόν από μια πρόχειρη ανάλυση στα νεοσύστατα malls προκύπτει το εξής -άσχετα με τις φαντασιώσεις του μέσου πολίτη που βλέπει κόσμο και θεωρεί ότι γίνεται της πόρνης το κιγκλίδωμα. Στο ικεα, καρφουρ και μιντιαμαρκt οι ελάχιστες αγορές στο ταμείο είναι της τάξης των 5-10 ευρώ. Αυτό σημαίνει ότι ο κόσμος πήγε για “βόλτα” και όχι για να αγοράσει κάτι.

Όλοι θέλουν να τα κάνουν σε εκείνη την περιοχή, και να ανοίξουν γύρω τους μεγάλοι εμπορικοί χώροι, ήτοι shopping malls. Η αμερικανοποίηση συνεχίζεται.
Και επειδή αγαπημένη μου ασχολία είναι τα ονόματα των βιομηχάνων που κατέχουν τις εν λόγω βιομηχανίες, χρησιμοποιώντας το λινκ του λινκμαν Όνειρου, απ’ όσα ξέρω η «Βαλκάν Εξπόρτ» ανήκε σε κάποια στιγμή στον Εμφιετζόγλου, μέγα δωρητή του Οικονομικού, ε… Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου. Η Ζιέμενς είναι η γνωστή εταιρία (με 30% συμμετοχή της ΕΤΕ, πράγμα που σημαίνει ότι η τελευταία έχει ουσιαστικό λόγο στις κρίσιμες αποφάσεις, καθώς το ποσοστό της είναι άνω του 20%). Τα κλεισμένα κλωστοϋφαντουργεία ανήκαν κατά μεγάλο μέρος στους υφαρπαγείς δημόσιων επιδοτήσεων και πακτωλών εκατομμυρίων από τις χρυσές μέρες του Χρηματιστηρίου, τους Λαναράδες (κύριοι υπαίτιοι για το εξωφρενικό ποσοστό ανεργίας της περιοχής). H Goodyear, είναι η πολυεθνική, σαν τη Ζίμενς (γνωστοί και ως κατηγορία «ξένων επενδυτών» από τις ειδήσεις). Η Βιαμύλ σε ποιον ανήκε; Η «Φλώρινα-Χωναίος» είναι προφανές σε ποιον ανήκε, αλλά αν δεν κάνω λάθος φαλήρισε, οπότε είναι άλλη περίπτωση.

Επίσης ντράπηκα διπλα, μιά που το ‘μαθα, για την πόλη, και μιά που το ‘μαθα απ’ την πρωινή εκπομπή της ΝΕΤ. Ίσως να το παίξανε οι εφημερίδες της πόλης, αλλά όχι πρωτοσέλιδο, αν δεν κάνω λάθος. Κανείς απ’ όσους το συζήτησα δεν το είχε υπ’ όψη του πάντως.
