As an Archaeologist, I am deeply shocked by the selective approach in the documentation of finds.
Archaeology might have the opportunity to contribue towards a recent chapter of the local history.
If these « silences » here described are really official choices and politics, then the archaeological discipline proceeds towards a selective documentation with criteria not honest.
Scientists, excavators, even short term employees and trench masters have to do their job sincerely, not to hide or silence finds that do not arrange the project, local history or the national narrative….
Errors of the past should be admitted and the best possible solutions sought
