Κινηματογραφικό αφιέρωμα για τα Ανθρώπινα Δικαιώματα

Από την ανακοίνωση του Φεστιβάλ,

Το Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Θεσσαλονίκης, στο πλαίσιο της ετήσιας δραστηριότητάς του και σε συνεργασία με τις ομάδες δράσης του Ελληνικού Τμήματος της Διεθνούς Αμνηστίας στη Θεσσαλονίκη, παρουσιάζει το καθιερωμένο ετήσιο κινηματογραφικό αφιέρωμα για τα Ανθρώπινα Δικαιώματα, από τις 9 έως τις 15 Οκτωβρίου 2008 στο Ολύμπιον (πλ. Αριστοτέλους 10).

Το αφιέρωμα πραγματοποιείται με αφορμή την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα κατά της Θανατικής Ποινής (10 Οκτωβρίου) και έχει ως στόχο την ευαισθητοποίηση του κοινού στην υπεράσπιση των ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων.

Το πρόγραμμα του αφιερώματος περιλαμβάνει τις ταινίες: Shooting Dogs του Michael Caton-Jones, Η ζωή του Ντέιβιντ Γκέιλ του Alan Parker, Εν Ψυχρώ του Richard Brooks, Η μυστική ζωή των λέξεων της Isabel Koixet, Έκδοση κρατούμενου του Gavin Hood, Η τιμή της ζάχαρης του Bill Haney και Οι 12 ένορκοι των Sidney Lumet.

Το Σάββατο 11 Οκτωβρίου θα προβληθεί η ταινία Εν Ψυχρώ του Richard Brooks ενώ μετά το τέλος της προβολής θα ακολουθήσει συζήτηση στο «Δωμάτιο με Θέα» με τον Γιώργο Ψαρόπουλο, ψυχολόγο-ψυχοθεραπευτή, υπεύθυνο του Ινστιτούτου Συστημικής Σκέψης & Ψυχοθεραπείας.
