διαφωνώ – υπάρχουν καί άλλοι τρόποι, όπως π.χ. απαγόρευση κυκλοφορίας των αυτοκινήτων σε κάποιους δρόμους γιά χρήση πεζών και ποδηλάτων. Δεν μπορεί να έχουν αποκλειστικότητα τα αστικά λεωφορεία και τα ταξί (όλα ρυπογόνα) σε μία πόλη (Θεσσαλονίκη)
μπορεί μελλοντικά το ΜΕΤΡΟ να βοηθήσει την κατάσταση – αλλά είναι δαπανηρή η κατασκευή και συντήρηση του και καταναλώνει ηλεκτρικό ρεύμα που στην Ελλάδα παράγεται με τρόπο χωρίς σεβασμό στον περιβάλλον καί εις βάρους της υγείας συμπατριωτών μας (Πτολεμαίδα).
Το ποδήλατο (και ταξίλατο) επομένως, κινείται με ανθρώπινη δύναμη μόνο, οπότε είναι σχεδόν ανέξοδο, είναι άθληση, βοηθά την υγεία, δεν ρυπαίνει, είναι αθόρυβο, είναι πιό κοινωνικό και ευχάριστο σαν μέσο μετακίνησης ! Αυτό λέει πολλά. Φαντάσου μία πόλη με πολλά ποδήλατα – όπως Κοπενχάγη

Σε ταξί και λεωφορεία υπάρχει το φαινόμενο της “μασχαλίλας” και αυτό οφείλεται στην έλλειψη ατομικής καθαριότητας – εγώ κυκλοροφορώ άνετα με ποδήλατο με καλοκαιρινές θερμοκρασίες – φυσικά υδρώνω, είναι αν δεν το ξέρετε, ένας θαυμάσιος βιολογικής ρυθμιστής της θερμοκρασίας του σώματος πού διατηρεί και το δέρμα σε άριστη κατάσταση και καθαρίζει τους πόρους. Επειδή με το ποδήλατο το σώμα αερίζεται με φυσικό τρόπο, δεν υπάρχει κακοσμία !!
Η νοοτροπία του νιόπλοτου νέοέλληνα με τον έρωτα που τρέφει για το ΙΧ και τις συνέπειες του, είναι γνωστές σε όλους μας – προτιμά ταχύτητα και ρύπανση που είναι εις βάρους της υγείας του κτλ.
Οσον αφορά τα ηλέκτρικα αυτοκίνητα – καλά ακούγεται σαν ιδέα – όμως θέλει σχετική υποδομεί και είναι προς το παρόν δαπανηρή μία τέτοια περίπτωση. Το ποδήλατο είναι άνεξοδο και έχει τόσο θετικά υπέρ που ο κάθε λογικός άνθρωπος γνωρίζει. Σίγουρα αν ήμουν οδηγός ταξιλάτου θα ήθελα να σας είχα επιβάτη να δοκιμάσουμε μία βολτα !!

Oπότε δεν είναι ο σκοπός να αντικαθεστά τα αυτοκίνητα, ούτε να μπεί στην κυκλοφορία και να εμποδίζει αυτή.
Ομως – εγώ θα προτιμούσα, όπως και πολλοί άλλοι το κέντρο της πόλης να κυκλοφορούν ποδήλατα, ταξίλατα και πεζοί αντί αυτοκίνητα. Ετσι η πόλη θα ήταν πιο φιλική, με λιγότερη ρύπανση και ευχάριστη γιά όλους.

Και δεν νομίζω στους 40 βαθμούς υπό σκιάν οι οδηγοί-ποδηλάτες να διαθέτουν και “σταθμό – ποδηλατοταξί” με ανέσεις για το ντουζάκι τους… Όπως και με τους οδηγούς μηχανοκίνητων ταξί, θα τραβάει η ιστορία όλη τη μέρα.
Εγώ πάντως δεν θα ‘θελα υπό αυτές τις συνθήκες να είμαι στη θέση του επιβάτη!
Και τελικά πόσο ασφαλή είναι; Ο μέσος νεοέλληνας οδηγός δεν υπολογίζει καν το μηχανάκι στο δρόμο, πόσο μάλλον το ποδήλατο… Και στη Γερμανία (αν δεν κάνω λάθος), τα ποδήλατα έχουν αριθμό κυκλοφορίας κανονικά όπως τα μηχανάκια και χρειάζεται δίπλωμα οτι ξέρεις να οδηγείς ποδήλατο για να βγεις στο δρόμο. Εδώ ποιός θα τα οδηγεί αυτά;
Ήδη με τα έργα η πόλη είναι ένα εργοτάξιο. Για φανταστείτε: πρωί ή μεσημέρι στην Εγνατία ένα ταξίλατο, και από πίσω 3 χιλιόμετρα ουρά τα λεωφορεία, φορτηγά, ταξί, ΙΧ κλπ μποτιλιαρισμένα με 10χλμ/ώρα!
Τα ηλεκτροκίνητα οχήματα ίσως να ήταν μια λύση: ελαφριά σαν το ταξίλατο, αλλά με ικανοποιητική μέση ωριαία ταχύτητα. Και επαναφόρτιση στο σταθμό τους ή την πιάτσα τους.

Για μένα προέχει να υπάρχουν γρήγορες αστικές συγκοινωνίες. Είναι ο μόνος τρόπος να σταματάει ο κόσμος να κυκλοφορεί με το αυτοκίνητο του. Συνεπώς ότι καθυστερεί τα ΜΜΜ δεν το βλέπω τόσο θετικά. Επίσης αυτό το λέει κάποιος που αρκέτες μέρες πάει με το ποδήλατο στη δουλειά του. Οπότε μην νομίσεις ότι είμαι κατά των ποδηλάτων εν γένει.

Αλλά διαφέρουν πολύ το Λονδίνο και το Βερολίνο από τη Θεσσαλονίκη. Το ποδήλατο εδώ και χρόνια έχει μπει στη ζωή των πολιτών αρκετών πόλεων ως μέσω μετακίνισης. Δυστυχώς στην πόλη μας γενικά θεωρείται ακόμη άθλημα ή παιχνίδι για τα παιδα και οι αρχές αδιαφορούν πλήρως για την ποιότητα ζωής των πόλεων και εναλλακτικών μέσων μετακίνσης. Είναι αξιέπαινη η προσπάθεια συμπολιτών μας να προωθήσουν το ποδήλατο με έναν τρόπο πρωτότυπο που να τραβάει την προσοχή του κόσμου και των μέσων επικοινωνίας. Πρέπει να ενθαρρύνουμε τέτοιες πρωτοβουλίες. Μου κάνει εντύπωση το σχόλιο το “g” οτι τα “ταξίλατα” στο Λονδίνο εμποδίζουν την κυκλοφορία – αντίστροφά η κυκλοφορία εμποδίζει – είναι θέμα πρωτεραιοτήτων. Τί θέλουμε; Μία πόλη χωρίς ατμοσφαιρική ρύπανση και ηχορύπανση ασφαλής για πεζούς και ποδήλατα ; ή …..;;; Συχαρητήρια στους φίλους του BikeRespect.gr !!
