Ανακοινώνοντας τα αυτονόητα

Με μία λιτή ανακοίνωση η Κυβέρνηση χθες ανακοίνωσε τα αυτονόητα. Δύο από τους πιο γνωστούς και ενδιαφέροντες αρχαιολογικοί χώροι της πόλης (το παλάτι του Γαλέριου και η Ρωμαϊκή Αγορά) θα παραμένουν ανοιχτοί μέχρι τις 3 το μεσημέρι.

Ειλικρινά απορώ που η Κυβέρνηση θεώρησε αυτή την είδηση άξια ανακοίνωσης.  Μήνες είχαν μείνει αυτοί οι αρχαιολογικοί χώροι κλειστοί μεσούσης της τουριστικής περιόδου. Η νέα δημοτική αρχή που προσπαθεί να επαναπροσδιορίσει τον χαρακτήρα της πόλης μέσω της αυξημένης τουριστικής κίνησης είχε φτάσει στο σημείο να προτείνει να χρησιμοποιηθούν υπάλληλοι του δήμου για να παραμείνουν ανοιχτοί αυτοί οι χώροι, προκαλώντας και την έντονη αντίδραση της αντιπολίτευσης.

Όταν υποστηρίζεις πως ο τουρισμός είναι η βαριά βιομηχανία της χώρας το να παραμένουν αρχαιολογικοί χώροι ανοιχτοί για την μισή μέρα δεν είναι θέμα ανακοίνωσης αλλά θέμα καταγγελίας.
Θα ήλπιζα να δω ανακοινώσεις όπου το σύνολο των αρχαιολογικών χώρων παραμένουν ανοιχτοί μέχρι αργά το βράδυ και γιατί όχι και μεταμεσονύχτιες ώρες. Θα ήλπιζα να δω ανακοινώσεις για εκδηλώσεις όπως της Πανσελήνου του Αυγούστου ακόμη πιο συχνά. Θα ήλπιζα να δω κάτι το οποίο δεν έχω καν σκεφτεί και θα με εξέπληττε ευχάριστα. Πάντως σίγουρα δεν θέλω να βλέπω ανακοινώσεις με τα απολύτως αυτονόητα.
